Royal Medal of Honor Monsoon Season

This year I was a witness to one of the ceremonies where law abiding citizens are ambushed into receiving a Royal Medal of Honor. It went something like this. The Mayor is speaking.

"... we are here to welcome ... ... she dedicated her live to a lot of good causes ... blah blah ..."

"... for the better part of the last forty years, she dedicated her live to the well being of small livestock, she nursed chickens, kittens and not to forget rabbits, in particular the 'Wiener', a race that re-defined the rabbit species..."

"... but... it has to be said... her love really went out to the ginny pig..."

"... and we definitely must not forget here enormous and continuous effort that helped in creating the success of the monthly small livestock magazine 'Food' ...

No really... this was more or less like the actual speech. In the end, we all got the laughs, and some present got their medal.
